Pheeroan akLaff is a band leader, percussionist, improvisational musician, recording artist and teacher who has traveled all the continents, leading and accompanying ensembles with such musicians as Cecil Taylor, Anthony Braxton, Rashied Ali, Andrew Hill, Henry Threadgill, Oliver Lake, Ravi Coltrane and Geri Allen. He is a regular at leading international festivals and a dedicated teacher and workshop leader.
